I draw as a way to explore the relationship
between art and my physical self. In my practice
I investigate the use of my body as a
drawing tool. Drawing and dance work along
side one another to make these pieces.
My drawings are about the conversation between
these two parallel art forms converged in one body.
Drawing is an activity that involves every part
of my body, an activity that is dynamic:
constantly transforming, evolving, shifting my
perceptions, ideas, and sensibilities.
My drawings are not stagnant because
dance is not static,
and they are not abstract because
my body is not so.
